How to get ESP8266 to respond to commands?
This ensured that the ESP received correct commands. We ensured that each command we send is terminated by a CR for e.g. ESP8266.println (espCmd + “”); // where ESP8266 is SoftwareSerial ESP8266 (rxPin, txPin); Also, powering the ESP module with 5V gave no responses from ESP.
What should I do if my ESP8266 is not flashing?
Repeat steps 2 and 3 a few times until your ESP reboots and hopefully the NodeMCU flasher can detect your ESP and start the flashing process. Problem 2 – If your FTDI can’t supply enough current, you might need to buy a new FTDI programmer or power your ESP8266 with an external power supply.
Why is ESP8266 IP address not reachable after a while?
As mentioned in me-no-dev/ESPAsyncWebServer#54 I have already tried the approach in the link http://www.esp8266.com/viewtopic.php?p=12809 and its still not working. Wireshark is recieving ARP broadcast from the module every second because of the fix. Here is the packet content.
Why is my ESP not reachable after a while?
All that keeps working fine. Memory foot print is also normal. So while my ESP is able to reach the internet it’s IP address is not reachable from within the local network. If I reset my ESP or turn my modem ON/OFF (to again assign the IP address) the issue goes away for a few hours.
Can you use Arduino with ESP8266 WiFi module?
I bought a new ESP8266 WIFI module (8pins) and flashed firmware (from https://raw.githubusercontent.com/nodemcu/nodemcu-flasher/master/Win32/Release/ESP8266Flasher.exe) it using arduino Duemilanove correctly.
Why is ESP8266 not working on my computer?
If you only see junk, then maybe you have the wrong baud rate set on your terminal. try 115200, try 9600. If you never see output from the ESP8266 on your terminal, then you have a serial connection problem, and of course you can’t flash the firmware without that working.
How is ESP8266 connected to ThingSpeak channel?
It is connected properly as far as I know with the Tx of the UNO to the Rx of the ESP and RX of UNO to Tx of ESP. The ground and power (+3.3V) are connected, also Enable and DP_PD to +3.3V. I have put the code to connect to my ThingSpeak channel as shown in the tutorial. The UART is initialzied.
