How is decoder block implemented in GNU Radio?
A more flexible packet encoder and decoder block are implemented. The packet encoder encapsulates the incoming stream into packets, consisting of a preamble, header (containing packet length), payload and checksum. Soft-input error correction is also supported.
How to decode RDS messages in GNU Radio?
Check out the original post here. Anotherurl uses a GNU Radio Companion flowgraph and a .NET program to decode FM RDS messages. RDS is an acronym for Radio Data System, which is used in FM radio transmissions to embed information such as radio station and programme/song information.
How does the header formatter in GNU Radio work?
GNU Radio’s header formatter objects in order to support headers with custom lengths and fields. The start of the payload data for a packet is indicated in the incoming byte stream with a tag that has the payload length as tag value. Optional support for data whitening, as discussed in section 4.4 of the report0
Why are there extra samples in GNU Radio?
A tagged stream with more samples between tags than what the packet_len tag indicates gives problems in GNU Radio’s tagged stream blocks, such as the Extended Tagged FEC Decoder. These blocks expect that the packets are perfectly sequential, i.e. there are no extra samples between packets. This new helper block ’truncates’ a tagged data stream.
Are there any alternatives for packet encoder / decoder in GnuRadio?
Are there any alternatives for packet encoder/decoder (deprecated) in gnuradio3.8.0.0 ? Know someone who can answer? Share a link to this question via email, Twitter, or Facebook. Thanks for contributing an answer to Signal Processing Stack Exchange!
How to check out the GNU Radio Project?
Contains improved packet encoder/decoeder, correlation estimator and tagged stream blocks. GNU Radio project on packetized transmission. Contains improved packet encoder/decoeder, correlation estimator and tagged stream blocks. Use Git or checkout with SVN using the web URL.
