How can I still obtain white noise after oversampling?
If you apply (white gaussian) noise which is uncorrelated and with a constant power density spectrum over frequency range and maybe if you apply filtering before A/D-conversion or not, the sampled noise still remains uncorrelated. Can you help by adding an answer? How could I still obtain white noise after oversampling?
When does oversampling and averaging will work?
When Oversampling and Averaging Will Work The effectiveness of oversampling and averaging depends on the characteristics of the dominant noise sources. The key requi rement is that the noise can be modeled as white noise.
How does oversampling reduce quantization noise in ADC?
The smaller the word length, the greater the noise introduced. Quantization noise can be reduced by adding more bits into the ADC hardware design. This noise can also be reduced in software by oversampling the ADC and then processing the digital signal.
How does oversampling affect white Gaussian noise correlation?
If we receive a signal assuming white Gaussian noise channel and we want to over-sample the signal to ensure high correlation between signal samples, does the oversampling affect the noise correlation (which is suppose to be uncorrelated). Do you sample white noise before a / D converter?
Alternatively, your channel is really white noise (within the bounds of your sampling rates), but you have an anti-aliasing filter before your A/D converter. You still don’t sample white noise – what you sample is the band-limited version of the white noise.
When is sampling frequency twice the system bandwidth?
When sampling frequency is the twice the system (hardware) bandwidth, the sampled noise is almost white noise. In most cases, the hardware bandwidth equals the bandwidth of the signals from a channel. Correlation-based detectors sometimes require oversampling to guarantee a correlated primary signal.
