How do I get my microphone to work through my headphone jack?
Old PCs
- Click on Start.
- Control Panel.
- Sound.
- A pop-up will open. Click on Recording.
- You will see a list of devices. Find the one you’re using and make it default.
- If you can’t see it, click Set up Microphone. Windows will automatically detect any input devices inserted.
- Once done, apply your changes and test the device out.

What to do if your headphone doesnt work?
Go to Settings >> Sound. Go to Check Input Devices >> Manage Sound Devices. Under Input Devices check if the device is Disabled. For Eg: You might see Stereo Mix. Click on Stereo Mix and click on Enable. Now, test the Microphone and check if you are able to record audio. Hope it helps.
