Why is the animator not playing animations in Unity?
Looking in the animator tab SitBool is turned to true when the button is pressed but the animation still doesn’t play and SitBool is never turned to false. I guess this means either my code is incorrect (likely), for some reason setting sitBool to true doesn’t transition the animator into the next state as it should, or both.
What to do when animation is not playing?
Remove the transitions from the idle state and just add one entry transition to the sit state with no transition parameters. Do this and see if the animation goes immediately to the sit position on play. If it doesn’t play then It will help determine what to do next.
Do you need to use Debug log with animation transitions?
You do not need to use debug.log with animation transitions. You can simply open up the animator of the object while the game is running and view the bool values being cycled in the parameters tab. You can also view the state in which your animation is in. I recommend looking at that to determine where your animation is hanging up.
Why is my root motion animation not working?
The model is rigged as a Humanoid (otherwise the root motion movement doesn’t work), the animations where root motion is applied are not set to loop while the ones it transitions to and from are… Not sure what else I can explain. Is there any way to just have my animations play like I made them to?
What does getcomponent < > ( ) enable not working?
GetComponent<> ().enable Not Working!!! I have two scripts attached to my player. One is Movement (self-explanitory). The other handles the player encountering enemies (called Encounters).
What happens if you disable a script in Unity?
Disabling a script doesn’t disable everything. Try disabling it in the editor and see if it does as you intend. Mainly it will stop update and gui. Also, you can watch it in the editor while the game is running to see if it’s disabled. Make sure there aren’t any spelling errors.
What’s the difference between encounters and movement in Unity?
One is Movement (self-explanitory). The other handles the player encountering enemies (called Encounters). The Encounters detects if an enemy is within the player’s collider range and if so is supposed to stop the player from moving, and ask if the player wants to battle the enemy. However, it’s not disabling the Movement script component.
