Why is my GameObject not moving in Unity?
The Animator component is causing the Rigidbody2D to not be able to move. Disabling the Animator component shows that the RigidBody2D component should be working otherwise. Collision handled by a Circle Collider 2D component. Willing to share project with Unity devs if requested.
What does it mean when scene is loading in Unity?
When looking in the Editor’s Hierarchy, I can see that the scenes are there, grayed-out with the ” (is loading)” text behind it.
What’s the progress in the asyncoperation in Unity?
2 out of the 3 scenes have the progress in the AsyncOperation at 0.9 (as expected), while the last one is stuck at 0.0. Placing a breakpoint in Visual Studio shows that we are still in the coroutine as well as the Debug.Log printing out the current value each frame.
Why is my Scene loading progress stuck at 0?
Wait for progress to reach 0.9 This seems to fix the issue, as it won’t get stuck on 0 anymore. Since it gets stuck at 0 on the scene after loading a big scene in, it seems to indicate that it is memory related. By allowing it to activate, it probably empties the memory pool it uses under the hood, allowing the next scene to load in just fine.
Turns out it was because I was using ProBuilder add-on and had left it in edge mode rather than object mode. Switching back to object mode solved it immediately. Just in case someone else comes here from the same frustration as me.
Where are the UN editable materials in Unity?
Also, now when I import a model, it creates all new materials in my project, and it puts those materials in the model folder (in the Project panel) along with the meshes. These new models use the same materials as those already in the project, so the new, un-editable materials are all duplicates.
Can you add new materials to a model in Unity?
Previously, when I added a model that used existing materials, it would not duplicate the materials, and it would not put new materials in the model’s folder. I’ve tried importing a few different new models in native C4D, native Cheetah3D, and FBX, in two different projects, and the result is the same.
Is there a way to import blender into unity?

What happens when I attach animation to GameObject?
Give us your feedback. Take our survey and let us know. When I attach an Animator component to my GameObject in order to animate it, it still moves. However, when I fill in the Controller with my Controller, my object will no longer move. I check, and my rigidbody2D definitely has Velocity, but it isn’t moving.

How to make a 2D character move in Unity?
Make sure the ground layer is set to ground on the cubes layer. Drag the groundCheck object to the new slot on the platform controller script that is visible when selecting the hero object. Also make sure the hero has his rigidbody2d not set to kinematic. Thanks for contributing an answer to Game Development Stack Exchange!
