Why is GDAL _ translate not supported in Eclipse?
If i convert the file with gdal_translate in GeoTiff, i have the same error on eclipse : ERROR 4: `/home/simon/mnt_01-12-2017.geotiff’ not recognized as a supported file format. Any idea why it’s not properly working on my java code ?
Is there a HDF file not supported in GDAL?
The files from the basic tutorial work as indicated but every file i’ve tried from http://e4ftl01.cr.usgs.gov/MOLT/MOD09GA.005 hasn’t. I’ve emailed the ldaac help and will update with a response but could there be an issue with either recent hdf5.rb or something else that’s changed? MODIS is hdf4.

Why is GDAL not recognized as a file format?

Why is GDAL 2.4 not supported by dAsK?
I’m still on GDAL 2.4 because I found that GDAL 3.1 was much slower for my main use case (dynamic image tiling from Lambda) (see: developmentseed/cogeo-mosaic-tiler#4 (comment), lambgeo/docker-lambda#2) I am also experiencing this error reading from dask workers. I believe if separate workers access the same file you will get this error.
Is there a critical flag in GDAL rasterio?
The error is still present in recent rasterio and GDAL versions. We can now reproduce it, and it seems like the critical flag is GDAL_DISABLE_READDIR_ON_OPEN (so it might be related to #1706 ). We tried the following combinations serving rasters from an S3 bucket with 17000 images:
