What kind of Internet Explorer do you need for ArcGIS?
Microsoft Internet Explorer, minimum 7 or 8, must be installed prior to installing ArcGIS for Desktop. Internet Explorer 9, 10 and 11 are also supported. ArcGIS for Desktop geoprocessing tools require that Python 2.7.x and Numerical Python 1.6.x are installed.
Can you install ArcGis On the same machine as ArcGIS Server?
When you install ArcGIS Desktop or ArcGIS Engine clients on the same machine as ArcGIS Server, the ArcGIS clients must be at the same software version as ArcGIS Server. Therefore, if you upgrade ArcGIS Server to 10.9 or beyond, you must move ArcGIS Desktop and ArcGIS Engine clients to another machine.
