Where to find create features in ArcGIS 10?
When you start editing, the Create Features window opens vertically and docks on the right side of your ArcMap application. The top of the Create Features window lists the feature templates in your map.

How did ArcGIS Desktop-create features window become unchecked?
The Advanced Arcmap Settings under the program Utilities folder was exactly the issue! After a total program reinstall, .dll inspection, and multiple (hundreds!) of button clicks, it was the simple “Create Features using templates” checkbox. Now the real question is how did that box become unchecked?
