When to stop the simulation of a collision?
– When the fluid hits the collision object that you want to move and starts to splash around it, stop the simulation. – Do some keyframing of the object that you want to move, starting just after the fluid hits it, and have it move in the appropriate direction. This at least gets an initial try.
Can a collision object be pushed around by Liquid Force?
06-13-2018 10:10 AM There isn’t presently a two-way coupling of collision objects to fluids in the Bifrost fluid simulation engine, so the strict answer is “no” — collision objects can’t automatically be pushed around by liquid force.
When to use velocity in mantaflow collision simulation?
The velocity of objects of this type will be used when baking the guiding. So fluid guiding objects should move and have some velocity. My object is a stationary collision boundary and not a guide. I had some success with making a very thick version (like a huge box with the desired fluid shape cutout from inside it) and adjusting particle size.
Are there any questions about the fluid simulation system in Blender?

How to attach pflow’s particles to animated object?
I animated the object using MassFX, baked the simulation, then linked a cloned copy of the geometry to it. So the parent has the MassFX sim, and the child has the Particle Flow system. I can spawn the particles on the vertices just fine; and using the mP World gravity works.
How does the water simulation work in Blender?
In Blender, its water simulation is an easy method to visualize how water flows and interacts with other objects while a boundary is enclosing it. Its simulation also mimics real-life fluid flow with Blender’s fluid simulation feature.
