Why are node groups not allowed in Blender?
Recursive node groups are prohibited for all the current node systems to prevent infinite recursion. A node group can never contain itself (or another group that contains it). When a node group is created, new Group Input and Group Output nodes are generated to represent the data flow into and out of the group.
How do you collapse a node in Blender?
The title shows the name/type of the node; it can be overridden by changing the node’s Label . On the left side of the title is the collapse toggle which can be used to collapse the node. This can also be done with H. The sockets input and output values from the node. They appear as little colored circles on either side of the node.
Where do I find the Node Editor in Blender?
If you switch to the Compositing screen with Ctrl-Left, if you are on the default screen, you will find a Node Editor on the top half of the screen. When you enabled material nodes, a material node and an output node were automatically added to the Node editor.
How are colors set in a node in Blender?
Each input socket, except for the green shader input, when disconnected, has a default value which can be edited via a color, numeric, or vector interface input. In the screenshot of the node above, the second color option is set by a color interface input. Some nodes have special sockets that can accept multiple inputs into a single socket.
Can a node group be inserted into another node group?
I.e. a node group can be inserted or created inside another node group. Recursive node groups are prohibited for all the current node systems to prevent infinite recursion. A node group can never contain itself (or another group that contains it).
What happens when a node dies on DataNodes?
One of our nodes (out of 3, with replication=3) just died on us, and after restarting we started to see this on the affected datanodes’ logs:
How many blocks does a new DFs node have?
For instance, under DFS Admin, the new node shows it has 6K blocks, while the other nodes have about 400K blocks. Currently, the new node’s DataNode logs show it is doing some verification (or copying?) on a variety of blocks, some of which fail as already existing. I believe this is HDFS just replicating existing data to the new node.
How do you create a group in Blender?
