Why is PNG saving pixelated?
Low-resolution images are saved at 72ppi (for web graphics), and high-resolution images are saved at 300ppi (for print graphics). By stretching the image larger, you’re actually just enlarging the pixels themselves, making them more visible to the naked eye, therefore making your image looks pixelated.
Why are my Adobe Illustrator exporting a pixelated PNG image?
There are 2 reasons why your exported image appears pixelated. Either you’re original artboard size in illustrator does not match your intended export dimensions (artboard was too small) or your export settings result in a lower quality export. Pixelated images lose quality when scaled up, unlike vector images.

A .png image type is not vector and is a bitmap image. When you save a ai file as an image, it rasterizes it (makes it bitmap). If you want a vector filetype, then you will need to go to File > Save as… and choose .svg, which is vector filetype.
How to get full-resolution logo ( image ) when saving as…?
I have a Word 2010 file containing a medium-res logo (800 x 600 png file) and Acrobat X Pro. When I save as Adobe PDF or print to the Adobe PDF printer, the logo looks blurry (displaying the PDF on screen), as if Acrobat has down-sampled it to save space.
What’s the best way to export a PNG file?
Rule of thumb is to export your image at different sizes pending on what you want to use them as. While png’s are lossless, they still pixelate at various sizes, so best practice is to export individual files for each use (one image at an email signature size, one image at the size for a banner on your page, etc.).
Why does an image look pixelated in Photoshop?
The problem with images being made up of pixels is that once they are saved at a certain resolution (both high or low), you can’t actually add more pixels to the image. This then means that you can’t enlarge the image without it looking pixelated.
