How do I make fonts show up in Illustrator?
Activated fonts become available for use in all Creative Cloud applications.
- In the Character panel, click the Find More tab.
- Browse the font list and select a font. To preview the font on the selected text, hover over the font name.
- Click the Activate icon displayed next to the font.
Where are fonts stored for Adobe Illustrator?
Fonts now are included in the Illustrator font menu. Still works for me in CS6 on Windows 10. Created the directory: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator CS6 (64 Bit)\Fonts and then added testing fonts to that folder.

Fonts in a Document Fonts folder that is in the same location as an InDesign document are temporarily installed when the document is opened. It’s my favourite feature just from oldest versions (AI 8-10) and in Illustrator CS4 still works.
Is the Adobe CS6 font supported in Windows 10?
CS6 is not supported for Windows 10. If you have been working with it up to now then you should consider that lucky. I’ve seen this problem presented a few times recently and it seems to coincide with the latest (automatic) updates that have been released for Windows 10. I’m betting that it is the updates to the OS which are affecting your CS6.
The weird thing is that the list shows up in Photoshop CS6, but not Illustrator CS6. Other than typing in the name of the font directly, the only scroll I can do is hitting the UP-Arrow and DOWN-Arrow keys. It’s better than nothing for now.
