Why is Blender just using 54% of my CPU?

Why is Blender just using 54% of my CPU?

Blender is only utilizing 54% on every core of my CPU (as shown in TaskManager) when rendering in Cycles. How can I make it use 100%? Can this be fixed within Blender or is it more of an OS/hardware-related issue?

What to do if your GPU is not compatible with Blender?

There are two possible solutions to this error: If you have an older GCC installed that is compatible with the installed CUDA toolkit version, then you can use it instead of the default compiler. This is done by setting the CYCLES_CUDA_EXTRA_CFLAGS environment variable when starting Blender.

Is the default value for Blender 2 or 1?

Try rendering a different project to see if the same thing happens. Well, 2 is the right value for a dual core. So auto guessed “2” correctly, and without auto it’s the default value of “1”. (or maybe you have a quad core and need to switch from 1 to 4 ?)

Why does cycles not idle CPU during render on GPU?

Hi, Cycles does not idle CPU during render on GPU. There was a patch included in Blender but it was reverted, was not working on some older GPU, iirc. I cant find it at moment. I ask @brecht some days ago and it is on his todo list but not high priority. No idea why it work better with Xeon CPU.

Is the GPU at 100% when CPU is 100%?

Is the i5 using twice the CPU power as the Xeon?

On the i5, it’s using more than twice the CPU power of the Xeons. Is this an issue with Cycles or potentially something with consumer chipsets/processors?
