Why is my weight painting X mirror not working?
I’ve already got another problem with weight painting : when two vertices are too near or at the same place, sometimes the X mirror works for only one of the two, therefore, when I finish the weight painting, I check this kind of problem and I fix that in edit mode.
How to mirror the weights of a mesh?
Third, the mirror modifier will do all your weight-mirroring work for you since your mesh is already perfectly symmetrical. just delete all the vertices left of the origin. The mesh will even be poseable without applying the mirror modifier, and when the mirror modifier is applied, the weights will be mirrored.
How to mirror weight paint on vertex group?
My mesh has had its limbs and centers weight painted (one leg, one arm, its head, its body) The mesh is symmetrical on the x axis, and im trying to mirror the weight paint from one arm to the other based on this tutorial: https://youtu.be/m3izfPRnS7Q
How to get the X mirror to work?
As regards the X symmetry, If you want the “X mirror” option to work, the symmetry plane of the geometry needs to pass by the origin of your mesh and I can see that the origin of your sphere isn’t exactly at its center. (you can see it by zooming at the origin)
Why is my topology mirror not working anymore?
Had x-mirror and topology mirror working just fine for weightpainting. Had do change some geometry. Deleted all vertex groups, removed armature modifier, fixed the stuff, reparented to armature, automatic heat weighting. Mirror painting not working anymore. Ideas? Topo mirror might not work anymore due to the changed geometry.
Why does my UV not work with mirror?
If you apply a mirror modifier on an UV unwrapped mesh, you don’t need to do anything, the UV will be applied symmetrically by default. If you apply a mirror modifier on an UV unwrapped mesh, you don’t need to do anything, the UV will be applied symmetrically by default. Exactly that is the problem. I have a non mirrored non overlapped UV layout
