How do you use weight paint?
You can enter Weight Paint Mode from the Mode selector Ctrl – Tab . The selected mesh object is displayed slightly shaded with a rainbow color spectrum. The color visualizes the weights associated to each vertex in the active vertex group. By default blue means unweighted and red means fully weighted.
How do you remove weight from paint?
Paint zero weight to effectively remove it (zero weight has no effect) If you want to remove the vertex from the group you can run the “Clean” tool, or manually select and remove the vertices from the group.

Why is weight painting not working in Blender?
If your mesh has a Mirror Modifier on (like mine had), you won’t be able to paint on the side that is mirrored (the one that displays no vertices on Edit Mode).
Why is my weight paint not showing up?
I however has maybe this same problem now in my 9 days old build of 2.8 that the weight paint isn’t showing. It still works to weight paint, but no matter wich mode or overlay settings all i see is blue.
