What are the functions of dynamic paint that are not working?
Half of the functions of Dynamic Paint aren’t working. DP works with Brushes and Canvas, but only two types of canvas are working: Waves and Displacement. Paint and Weight don’t work. Create a Grid, subdivide 2 or 3 times.
Why is my dynamic paint not working in Blender?

Is the canvas too small for dynamic paint?
In your scene, your canvas is too small for the paint distance you are using in your brush. It’s like painting a small stamp with a brush of 1m radius. If you had a brush with a paint distance of 1000, then the whole plane would be painted black.
How do I render a painting with dynamic paint?
If you want to render the result, you must set keyframes at the end points where you move the brush. Then adjust the timeline start and end frames of animation. Do the same for the Framesoption at Canvas properties panel. Now select the canvas and apply it a new material, through material’s properties panel.
Are there any other paint modes that work?
I can confirm that the other modes (waves, texture paint) are working, albeit the texture paint mode has also proven to be somewhat finicky for the last few months, requiring some setting and resetting to get it stable.
Why is my eraser not working in Photoshop?
My erasers do not work other than with the pattern and block brushes. Looking forward to figuring this out somehow. You may be in quickmask mode. At the bottom of your tools palette there is a circle in a square. Just make sure this is off. The shortcut key is ‘Q’ so if you accidently hit this you will be in quickmask mode.
Why are some of my brushes not working?
Some of the default brushes and the simple Eraser are not working. I seem to remember this happening before but for the life of me cannot remember what causes it. New Canvas- fill with colour no problem but using a simple brush or simple eraser does not work. If I use the pattern type brushes no problem.
Where can I get dynamic paint for Blender?

How do I add dynamic paint to Suzanne object?
First select the suzanne object. Then go to the “Physics” tab from top of the properties window. Now click “Dynamic Paint”. A new “Dynamic Paint” panel will appear below. While “Canvas” selected, click “Add Canvas”. This will enable canvas properties for current object.
