What is resource usage?
Resource utilization is a term used to describe the percentage of an employee’s available time that is used for billable tasks. Resource utilization rates show how much of your team’s time is being spent on billable tasks, as well as how productive each team member is.

The Resource Usage view lists for each resource the assigned tasks and the total amount of work that the resource is scheduled to perform on each task, whether per day, week, month, or other time increment.

Note: Along with resource assignments for tasks in the currently opened project, the Resource Usage view also displays summary resource assignments. Summary resource assignments indicate the total amount of work a resource is assigned to in all other projects.
