What causes Z seam?
So another factor that influences Z seam is the pause of the nozzle and the nozzle doesn’t stop only at layer changes, the filament stops every time the nozzle has to move from one side of the print to another. This can be easily confirmed by previewing any G-code or even just looking at the printer while it works.
What is AZ seam?
Commonly referred to as layer seams, z seams, blobs, zits, or scarring, the marks appear on prints either in a line or scattered around the model depending on slicer settings. It’s a universal problem for FDM printing and there have been a lot of different methods introduced into slicing software to hide it.
What causes sharp normals lines along UV seams?
Both of these will cause those artifacts. you should only analyze shaded version of models. Right now its hard to say anything cause youve cropped image. But from baking settings i see that you do not use cage. Without cage its impossible to bake properly (detail will be good but edges will have ugly seems).
What causes line start / Z seam problem in Cura?
The problem is caused by the fact that the model has some vertices in the long edges that make the outline very slightly concave and you are using the hide seam option which looks to find the most concave corner. All the other corners are convex and so it was choosing the slightly concave corners. Thanks for doing this.
Why are the seams on my blender so sharp?
Lowpoly on top, High poly down below. As well I left the entire window open in hopes it might help. The front corner seam looks fine now because I’ve moved lights on it directly, but in doing so the top seam is accentuated. I’ll try baking with a cage if you feel that is the issue, though I figured the Ray Distance of 1.0 would cover that problem.
Why do vertices appear on diagonal lines in Cura?
On those large flat sides, you will get vertices appearing on the diagonal lines (moving to/from the corner of the model as the height varies). The slicer tries to remove collinear vertices but due to numerical precision, arithmetic errors, etc. sometimes vertices remain.
