Why are my blender renders dark?
Your rendering might be too bright/dark, which is caused because we don’t know the absolute scale of the lighting, so this must be set manually. To fix, adjust the light intensity (Properties->World tab, adjust “Strength” setting under “Color” accordingly).
Is cycles a good renderer?

Why are my Blender materials rendering very dark?
They are rendering very dark for some reason, instead of the nice, bright colors. I think I have the node layout set up properly, but it’s all dark magic and the node editor scares me. So I’m hoping someone can identify what is going on. I have 3 images I’m using: Diffuse, specular and normal.

Why does texture baking bake is too dark?
The issue is, whenever I bake the materials to a texture, the result is far darker than the original version. This is it using Cycles materials: And this is it with a texture.
How do I change camera cull in Blender?
To do this we go to the object properties, find the visibility section and in the culling sub section we can enable camera cull and distance cull. Here is a little Blender trick for you, to change a setting like this for all selected objects, set the setting you want for the active object, then just right click and select copy to selected.
