How do you export opacity from a substance painter?
Substance Painter – Export Opacity and ID-Mask Channels In the new window , inside the Configuration section, you can add the new presets. Click on Plus button [+] to make a new preset or right-click to duplicate a origina presets. Now you can customize your export preset. ADD OPACITY CHANNEL AND ID CHANNEL.

This is a face sorting issue were faces in the background will appear in front of the surface alpha an opacity different from 0. The solutions for this issue are quire complex technically and can have an impact on the performances, that’s why we preferred using this method instead.
Why does opacity break in alpha blending shader?
I didn’t add a lot of opacity to it, but it does work on that solo layer. When I unhind the other textureset layers then for some reason opacity breaks. Can you paint opacity on the back of an arm?
For instance, with the arm, if I paint the bicep area as transparent, then I can still see the tricep area which at first glance appears as though I didn’t paint any transparency. The backside of the arm is still showing. In the attached image, I was able to paint opacity on the arm texture set in solo mode.

This might seem like a stupid question, but having problems viewing Opacity on one of my textureSet lists while i have the other textureset lists un-hidden as well. If i hide the texturesets that i don’t want to see, I can see the opacity fine I have added the Opacity Channel, made sure that it is active on both my Fill layer and standard layer.
