How to install noobs on a Raspberry Pi?
If you REALLY want to install NOOBS, make sure you have the LATEST version and follow the Foundation instructions => Visit the SD Association’s website and download SD Formatter for Windows or Mac. I ran into the same problem while working on my project.
Why does my Raspberry Pi keep not booting?
This might be because the OS is not compatible with Raspberry Pi or the image file is corrupted. In this case, you can go to set up your SD card again with an officially supported Raspberry Pi OS.
Why does Raspbian not boot on a SD card?
When you first boot Raspbian after having written it onto an SD card, it then looks at the actual size of the SD card, and resizes the root partition (and the filesystem on the root partition) to use up all the free space on the SD card (and this process indeed might be slow for very large SD cards).
How to get noobs to boot on SD card?
For such large size SD cards you need to use a special tool to force FAT32, but I forget the name of this app. So an easy way is to DD raspbian Lite onto your card as you did before. Then delete the files on the boot partition and replace them with the files from the noobs_lite.zip file (not full noobs) and boot it.

How to enter recovery mode on Raspberry Pi?
To interrupt the boot process and enter recovery mode, attach a USB keyboard and repeatedly hit the Shift key. You should come to the NOOBS OS install selection screen. Just re-install Rasbian again… When I powered up, I got the initial multi-color screen.
What does recovery partition do on Raspberry Pi?
Provided that you are ready and press the Shift key, you will enter a recovery partition. The recovery partition allows you to start again, easily, with another copy of Raspian or with an alternative OS. From the command line interface, or in Raspbian, open LXTerminal and type:
