Why does the image plane not show up?
The image plane also does not show up in the default perspective cam when rendered. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn’t. It is really weird. I have added an example scene, if someone may want to check it out. Your browser does not support the video tag. Video Player is loading.
Can You import multiple images into one plane?
You can either import a single image, multiple images, or an image sequence/movie clip. Selecting a single image will create one plane, selecting multiple images will create as many planes as images selected, on top of each other or spaced. Selecting a movie clip, or an image sequence will create a single plane with an animation.
Where does the name of the plane come from?
It automates the process of creating a plane, resizing it to fit the dimensions of the image, and adding a material and image texture to that plane. The name of the plane, material and texture is derived from the image name. You can either import a single image, multiple images, or an image sequence/movie clip.
How do you import an image as a plane in Blender?
Reloads the image file into Blender if it is already added as an image data-block. Import sequentially numbers images as an animated image sequence instead of separate planes. They will be imported as a Clip texture on a single plane.
Is there a way to control which alpha channel is used?
The only sure way to control which Alpha channel is used is to remove the ones you do not want, before saving the file. PSD files are very flexible and enable the application of a broad array of functions to be carried out on them within Adobe Photoshop. We recommend that painters use them as the original source format for their textures.
How does the RGB and alpha channels work?
The RGB component defines the color and brightness of the specular highlights and the Alpha channel defines the falloff for those specular highlights. Falloff refers to the sharpness of the highlight. A light value in the specular Alpha channel will result in a sharper highlight, where a dark value results in a broader, softer-edged highlight.
How big is the alpha channel in Photoshop?
Alpha Channel: 8 bit grayscale if for Reflection map, 1 bit grayscale if for Opacity map. The specular map controls the specular characteristics on a model’s surface. There are two components to the map; the RGB and the Alpha.
Is the image plane visible in viewport but not in render?
Also, I’ve turned off the VRay DomeLight but was getting the same result with or without. I’ve attached the viewport view and render as example. I have also shared my camera settings. BTW, the camera setting in the screenshot only show far clipping plane of 1000.00. However I have tested up to 100000.00 Any suggestions? Thanks everyone!
Is this an actual image plane or just a Poly plane?
Last edited by thawk127; 18-05-2017 at 04:02 PM. Is this an actual Image Plane or just an image on a poly plane? An image on a poly plane should render out just fine an image plane will not it’s designed not to so… Also if it is just an image on a plane what sort of shader is it attached to?
Can a Poly plane render an image in Maya?
