Can you work while rendering blender?
Rendering takes all available CPU time; you should render overnight, when the computer is not needed, or set Blender to a low priority while rendering, and work on other things (be careful with the RAM space!). You can then use Blender’s Compositor to perform any frame manipulation (post-processing).
Can I use my PC while rendering?
No, you won’t damage it but depending on the hardware resources you have available, you may experience heavy slow downs or even crash the system if running out of memory. Worse case scenario you will have to restart the computer and render the video from the beginning.
Can I render and play games?
If you have a very powerful CPU and Blender uses your GPU to render, you can play a non-demanding game that uses CPU only. Blender will still use part of your CPU power to drive the GPU, but you’ll have the rest for your game.
Why do I keep getting a rendering error?
Render again and you’ll get a bucket full of errors about missing UVWs. Those you will have to fix. It will render, both using Scanline and MR, but those UVW errors do need to be fixed. Also, rendering an orthographic viewport can cause problems. Use a Camera or at least the Perspective viewport.
What to do if your scene won’t render?
Keep in mind that while using this tool, any materials you have set up are going to be completely destroyed, so it might be a good idea to back up the scene prior to running this tool. In addition, if this tool allows you to successfully render the scene, then you know that the issue was a material in your scene.

If after importing one of the materials, you notice that the scene fails to render, then you found your problem. If after importing all of the materials back in to the scene, it still renders fine, then there was probably just some data corruption that was floating around from an old version.
