Ultranet setup and configuration The P16 system uses Ultranet to send 16 channels of networked audio to each P16 headphone mixer connected to the network. Without a P16-D, mixers can daisy chain their network connection from one to another, so long as they’re each powered by their external power adapter.

Is the Ultranet protocol compatible with a TriCaster?
Ultranet is a proprietary protocol, compatible only with Behringer’s own digital consoles and snakes. We do support WDM audio device drivers including AES67, Dante and any USB audio interface with a WDM driver. It may be possible to connect a Behringer audio device to a TriCaster, however, we have not tested any such solution.
How do I connect my Behringer p16 to my Ultranet?
Connect the mixer’s Ultranet output to the P16 mixer or P16-D distributor. Open the mixer’s ROUTING menu and browse to the Ultranet tab. Assign signals to each Ultranet channel.
How big is a pair of Ultranet packets?
The data rate on each pair is approx 12.2MHz, comprising 32 bits data x 8 channels x 48kHz sampling rate – in other words 1.5 MBytes per second. Two pairs means you have 3.0 MBytes per second of raw data.
