How do I host a robotics competition?

- Plan early. Since May 2016 we’ve been planning this.
- Be organised.
- Have workshops.
- Create the right atmosphere.
- Get sponsors.
- Make the competition themes friendly.
- Be logistically savvy.
- Be specific with the rules and grading.
How much does it cost to start an FRC team?

What is the difference between FTC and FRC?
FRC is similar to FTC in that it is a full day event and teams can create alliances the day of the event. FRC teams, unlike FLL, can participate in multiple events. So the team can compete once early in the season, make changes, and participate in a different event later in the season.

What happens when you register for FIRST Robotics?
Registering your team makes you a part of the huge FIRST Robotics Competition community. You’ll begin receiving communications from FIRST, along with a temporary team number. Create a team roster to submit with your registration.
How many teams are at FIRST Robotics in Waterloo?
More than 30 teams attend the Waterloo FIRST Robotics Competition. The event is split into two areas: the field, where competitions can be watched, and the pits. In the pits, teams are given the opportunity to work on their robot and showcase their robots program.
