Is Trustpilot secure?
Data stored on our cloud infrastructure is protected by firewalls and housed within multiple isolated VPCs. To safeguard the traffic between our users and our platform, all web communication is 128-bit encrypted as a minimum. All our websites use Transport Layer Security 1.2 (TLS).
What data does Trustpilot collect?
This data includes:
- Your contact, user account and preferences information.
- Information about your reviews and ratings on Trustpilot.
- Your device and location information.
- Communication information — emails to our Content Integrity Team, reviews that you’ve flagged, and locations that you’ve flagged.
Does Trustpilot show your email?
Note: Trustpilot uses your email address as the unique identifier for your account, so it’s possible that other reviewers may have the same username. For example, there may be more than one reviewer with the username “Jane Smith” on Trustpilot.
Are Trustpilot reviews Anonymous?
We always keep your data safe, but some information connecting your user profile to your review(s) is publicly visible. You’re free to edit your profile to change the information displayed about you on Trustpilot if you wish, or to update and correct details associated with your account.
