The authorization code must expire shortly after it is issued. The OAuth 2.0 spec recommends a maximum lifetime of 10 minutes, but in practice, most services set the expiration much shorter, around 30-60 seconds. The authorization code itself can be of any length, but the length of the codes should be documented.
The authorization code is a temporary code that the client will exchange for an access token. The code itself is obtained from the authorization server where the user gets a chance to see what the information the client is requesting, and approve or deny the request.
The authorization response is the actual information represented by the authorization response code. The response details the issuer’s desired—or required—way to proceed with the transaction. The account has sufficient funds to cover the transaction expense.
What does oauth2 return?
OAuth 2.0 Access Tokens and Authorization Code The OAuth 2 Authorization server may not directly return an Access Token after the Resource Owner has authorized access. Instead, and for better security, an Authorization Code may be returned, which is then exchanged for an Access Token.

An authorization code is a six digit alphanumeric code which is generated after making a transaction. You need to contact your Bank / Card provider for helping you with the Authorization Code specific to the transaction date and amount.
Call the bank’s number on the back of the card. You do so and the “card authorization center” gives you a six digit authorization code. You enter the authorization code into your POS terminal and get an approval.
