Why is JavaScript onclick not working with input type?
Change the id of the button or the name of the function and the code works since you cannot have the same name of the button and a function ID not matching in your js function and in your HTML input code. Just match them Not the answer you’re looking for?
The GO button is supposed to run a function that does a URL redirect via the window.location command based on the choices in the dropdown. I have this saved in a TXT file then called within a CEWP. The snippet of code that I believe is having issues is with the function or the button itself.

What’s the difference between onclick and onmousedown?
The difference is that I am generating the DOm Element at runtime. Replacing onclick with onmousedown seemed to do the trick if you can’t find a place to addEventListener in your code. I had a similar issue.
Why is the onclick function not working in chrome?
This seems to be the easiest thing to do, but it’s just not working. In a normal browser the .html and .js files works perfectly, but in the Chrome/Firefox extension the onClick function is not performing what it’s supposed to do.
However, when I test the button, the else clause always runs. I was able to resolve the issue by querying for the Apttus__Status__c value of the record using the Id.
How to debug a JavaScript onclick in chrome?
To access a popup’s JavaScript console (which is useful for debug in general), right-click your extension’s button and select “Inspect popup” from the context menu.
