How do I change the search layout?
Change the look and feel of your search engine
- From the control panel, select the search engine you want to edit.
- Click Look and feel from the menu on the left and then click the Layout tab.
- Select the layout you want to use for your search engine.
- Click Save & Get Code and insert the new code into your site.
Why does Google page look different?
The most prominent change is that the logo of the website the search result comes from – technically known as the favicon – is now much larger. It is now perhaps the most obvious thing, beyond the name of the page you have searched for, and is much more prominent than the URL.
How to configure searchable fields for Global, quick find?
The configuration is common for all three methods, therefore, the results should show up for all search types. Note: Relevance Search has some restrictions on number of fields and therefore may not show results for all fields configured. Follow the steps below to include additional fields for each entity to be searchable.
How to modify global search results to improve?
To change the columns that are used to search for results, click Add Find Columns. For example you may want to also search on City to return all results in a particular city, you would need to check the box next to Address 1: City, and click Ok to include this in the search columns.
How to change the look of search results?
The display templates show a selection of the managed properties in the search results, such as file type, title, document summary, path, and image. You can create your own display templates that show information that’s important to your users, for specific types of results.
How are search results displayed in Google search?
The query is sent to the search index. Search results are sent from the search index to a search results page, and displayed in a Search Results Web Part. The Search Results Web Part uses display templates that specify which managed property values should be displayed.
