Is sandbox available for Developer Edition?

How do I create a sandbox developer?
To create a sandbox org:
- From Setup, enter Sandboxes in the Quick Find box, then select Sandboxes.
- Click New Sandbox.
- Enter a name (10 characters or fewer) and description for the sandbox.
- Select the type of sandbox you want.
- Select the data to include in your Partial Copy or Full sandbox.
For which edition we will have sandboxes?
Required Editions Note You can buy additional Developer Pro sandboxes for any edition, or Partial and Full sandboxes for Enterprise, Unlimited, and Performance editions. Developer Sandboxes aren’t available for purchase but are bundled with add-on sandboxes of other types.
What’s the difference between Developer Edition and sandbox?
These environments contain test data that isn’t business-critical. Development can be done inside your browser or with the Salesforce Extensions for Visual Studio Code editor. A Developer Edition environment is a free, fully featured copy of the Enterprise Edition environment, with less storage and users.
Can you copy a live instance to a sandbox?
You can copy your live instance to a sandbox environment (but you have to perform manually from sandbox to developer edition) where you can test any changes, implementations, AppExchange apps or updates. It can also be your hands-on training environment without risking your live data.
Do you need a developer account for apex?
A Developer Edition account gives you access to a free Developer Edition org. Even if you already have a Professional, Enterprise, Unlimited, or Performance Edition org and a sandbox for creating Apex, we strongly recommend that you take advantage of the resources available in the developer community.
