What are the things we need to consider when we ask question?
These are some things students can consider to help them ask good questions:
- Focus: What specifically do I want to know?
- Purpose: Why am I asking this?
- Intent: How do I want people to respond?
- Framing: Am I using easily understandable terms and wording?
- Follow-up: Do I have any more specific questions to add?
How do you ask a question example?
For example, “Are you thirsty?” The answer is “Yes” or “No”; “Where do you live?” The answer is generally the name of your town or your address. Open questions elicit longer answers. They usually begin with what, why, how. An open question asks the respondent for his or her knowledge, opinion or feelings.
