Why does my character float above the ground?
Take our survey and let us know. so i have a problem with my self made character in unity. The character is made and animated in blender and then put into unity. Now when i put it in the scene everything is fine and both feet are on the ground, but when i press play the character floats above the terain a bit.
How to get the character’s Y from the ground?
When the character starts, standing on flat groud, get the Y offset from the ground. Always make the Character’s Y = groundY+offsetY, unless he’s jumping or something. ZeuX likes this. if you are planning to manage rigidbody height manually as we suggested..
How to tell if a collider is above the ground?
Whichever collider you are using for your character, recheck the height of it, mainly at the feet and or recheck your ground collider. If its above the ground bug1 if thw characters collider has a big gap between the feet and outline of collider than bug2.
How does character move on slope in Unity?
But the code doesn’t control the speed of the character while walking up a slope (which is where the problem lies) – that’s controlled by Unity’s rigidbody physics because the code just pushes the character at the same speed and then the character is slowed down by the rigidbody moving up a gradient.

Um floating through space endlessly? I started up No mans sky and am on some screen where I am floating through the stars in space; no option to start a new game and no menu. Ideas? same problem for me. Hoping someone has a fix Same. Finally some others with the same issue. This seems to be more rare.

Is it just loading no man’s Sky?
Yes it’s just loading. Man the FPS though… after 5 minutes of the stars i think the game just doesnt understand what to do and crashes. Note: This is ONLY to be used to report spam, advertising, and problematic (harassment, fighting, or rude) posts.
