Both certifications have a different purpose. eLearnSecuritys PTP course and the connected eCPPT certification is more for your own knowledge. There are about ten job offers that mention eCPPT. The certification is well respected in the pen test world and known for its high quality content but not for HR.

The OSCP looks to be a decent cert for the exploitation/infrastructure testing side of things, so if that’s the type of role that you’re looking at then I’d expect that it could be a factor.

Then you realize that OSCP is a bit f*cking mental and probably for the 1337 wannabe hackers, so you start looking around for courses in penetration testing and hacking and you’ll find this company called ELearnSecurity, which deliver complete beginner courses in penetration testing.
