If you try to play with Low DPI it will jump, or what others consider “lag”. the higher the DPI the faster you can move your mouse. Have you tried a different USB port. I tried my 4 mice on my friends PC with same DPI, pointer speed, and in-game sensitivity and it works perfectly.

You can follow the question or vote as helpful, but you cannot reply to this thread. Shift+S has gotten me out of the problem–It did replace the text with a capital S so I guess all I needed to do was type something, followed by an undo to get my text back that was deleted by typing something. That took me out of being stuck in “select mode.”
