How to rotate each texture individually in WebGL?

How to rotate each texture individually in WebGL?

I want to rotate each texture individually in my rendercall. I read this tutorial, and it works as i want it to except that the rotation is applied to all objects (due to the rotation value being uniform).

How do you rotate a texture in sketchuplab?

The command with the blue symbol is the Scale/Share tool. With this tool, we can stretch the material towards only one direction, and with the Share tool, we can change the gradient of the two parallel axes of the texture, at the same time. The command with the yellow symbol is the Distort tool. This commands can give perspective to our material.

Is it possible to change the orientation of a material?

Usually, we face an issue with the orientation of a material when we have a wooden floor surface. The thin and long strips of wood, are impossible to change orientation from the «material edit» menu.

What happens when you rotate a model on the Y axis?

A rotation about the Y axis does not change the y components of the vertices, but the x and z components change according to the angle of rotation. An example of rotation about the Y axis. Notice that when the model is centered at the origin (or anywhere on the y axis) the model changes orientation but does not change location.

How can I use matrix math in WebGL?

After much digging around in matrix math and how to use it in webgl. I came up with a solution that worked well for my specific problem. Creating a rendercall for each object (squares 6 vertices) turned out to effect the performance quite drastically.

How are the components of a rotation related?

Mathematically, a rotation requires that all three components be involved in the calculation of each component’s transformed value. The component values are inner-connected for rotation. For example, for translation and scaling, the value of y does not effect the values of x or z. This is not true for rotation.
