What took the place of InfoPath?

PowerApps turns out to be the most appropriate alternative to the InfoPath forms. It provides the same flexibility, capability and development aspects as InfoPath forms. In Microsoft Ignite 2016 (Microsoft’s Premier Tech event), they officially proclaimed PowerApps as the successor to the InfoPath forms.
What is InfoPath filler used for?
The designer is used for creating new forms and publishing it to SharePoint or some other location. The filler is only used to fill out existing forms. This is why you see the different options in the File menu for both.
What is a nintex form?
Nintex Forms are a Microsoft SharePoint tool primarily used for collecting and validating user input into SharePoint lists and Nintex Workflows. The form user inserts the information into a SharePoint 2013 list. Form validation improves the quality of the data by providing the form user with feedback.
