Currently, the only certification path that covers SharePoint is the Modern Workplace path. This path begins with the optional Microsoft Certified: Microsoft 365 Fundamentals certification, which leads to (but is not mandatory for achieving) the Microsoft 365 Certified: Teamwork Administrator Associate certification.
To earn this certificate, they have to pass Exam MS-900: Microsoft 365 Fundamentals that measures the understanding of: Cloud concepts (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, Public, Private, and Hybrid scenarios of Microsoft 365, benefits of using cloud services).
What license do I need to access SharePoint Online?
SharePoint Online is available via Office 365. Normally every user in your business that needs access to Office 365 requires a license. However, what you may not be aware of is that ‘external’ users do not require a license to access SharePoint Online.

Using SharePoint doesn’t require an Office license. What you have to do is to manage the permissions for the SharePoint Online sites. Managing permissions will work for you.
Can unlicensed users access SharePoint?
Based on the research, the newly created unlicensed user can access the public SharePoint site(Everyone except external users can access it directly) and can’t access the private SharePoint site directly. The unlicensed user in Office 365 can’t use most of the service: OneDrive, Office online, Exchange online etc.
What replaced the MCP certification?
