Click on the list or library which you want to show or hide from the browser or view site content. In the settings section, click on the “Hide from Browser” under General. Save the changes and refresh site in browser, the list/library is now hidden from all users.
Open your site with SharePoint Designer, then click on All Files in the Navigation section on the left side. Look for your hidden list either in the All Files view, or look in the Lists folder in the All Files view.

How to display a list of sub sites in SharePoint?
Select Equals as operator and type STS_Web in the text box. Select any option for Sort by and Layout as per you needs. Save your changes. After the configuration is done then web part should show all the sub sites within the site collection.
