SharePoint view has a property SPView. Hidden….This solution just hides the links to the view :
- Edit the Document Library Page (Settings Cog, “Edit Page”).
- Edit The Document Library Web Part.
- In the “Miscellaneous” section, check “Disable view selector menu”.
- Click OK, and Save the Page.
What does restricted view mean in SharePoint?
Restricted view is not a built-in permission level. It shall be a custom one and being deleted by another user in that site. As it is a custom permission level, simply re-create it with all your required permissions. It can be easily done.
Click on Settings (Gear icon) –> Edit page. Then select the list web part & then Edit Web Part. In web part properties panel, expand Advanced section, it is on the most right corner of the page next to the list (you may need to scroll horizontally, as shown below).
I have number of list library views, specific to sharepoint group. and each above vendor I have created unique view from list library. I want to disable option of changing view so, I will publish each views on separate link and restrict link access to user group ( each user group will have link access to one link where view is published)
How to restrict permissions on list views?
Go to Advanced section and select user group in the target audience. Apply the changes 7. Add the TestList web part again to the same AllItems.aspx page. 7. Repeat the step 5 and 6 for other two views and set the target audience respectively. 8. Now the AllItems.aspx page will have three web part for one list i.e TestList
How to limit access to list items based on user?
A knowledgeable user could simple access the entire list and bypass any filters. If setting up permissions for each item is too time consuming, you could also create a workflow (with the 2010 workflow engine) that changes the permissions based on some condition, though that might be tricky with external users.
