Why is my xref drawing not showing up?
The xref file has nothing in model space, or the wrong content is on the Model tab. The drawing elements that you want to show up after attaching the file are all on a layout in paper space. AutoCAD only brings in content from the Model tab of an xref drawing, not from layout tabs.

Xref was inserted at 0,0 and the rest of the drawing is very far from the origin (high coordinates). Xref fading may be set to its highest level (90). Corruption in the file or circular references that occur from attaching an Xref instead of overlaying it.
