What does it mean when user profile Service failed the logon?
The User Profile Service service failed the logon. User profile cannot be load. As a matter of fact, the error message means that the user profile has been corrupted. This issue often occurs after a Windows Update, partition resizing, user profile creation, system restore and any other causes.

Do you need a farm account for user profile synchronization?
Note: The farm account must be added to the local administrator group during starting and provisioning the User Profile Synchronization Service. After starting the User Profile Synchronization service, you should remove the farm account from the Administrators group.
