What are dope sheets?
An exposure sheet (also referred to as camera instruction sheet, dope sheet or X-sheet) is a traditional animation tool that allows an animator to organize their thinking and give instructions to the camera operator on how the animation is to be shot.
What does the Dope Sheet do in blender?
The Dope Sheet gives the animator a birds-eye-view of the keyframes inside the scene. The Dope Sheet is inspired by classical hand-drawn animation process, in which animators will make use of a chart, showing exactly when each drawing, sound and camera move will occur, and for how long.

How do I make a dope card template?
I use the Leupold Mark 4 retractable ballistic charts. Input the data into my label maker software and print it out onto 1/2 inch label tape. Stick the tape to the retractable tape. Make one for each load and print and switch as needed. I simply made a table for the data on my round using word.
Can a dope card be printed back to back?

What’s the best way to write down dope?
A more permanent alternative is to take some masking tape and put it on the inside of the flip caps and jot down some important dope with a fine tip Sharpie. There is a commercial alternative to this called Scope Dope and it’s a cleaner solution but some masking tape and marker can work just as well.
How big of a dope card do I Need?
Specifically: A grid format that will allow me to input values for elevation and wind at 100 – 1000 in a size that can be laminated and 550 corded to my rifle scope. A search produced only results from ’09 and earlier. Presently, I’m cutting and pasting (literally) from my JBM data.
