Approach 1 – Using SharePoint Designer 2013
- In SharePoint Designer, Open your site.
- Navigate to All Files navigation node (not List and Libraries node), Note. you will need “Site Collection Administrator” permission in the site collection to see “All Files” option.
- Find your list there.
- Right-click list.
- Rename.
You have to go to All Files listing, find the list, right click and Rename.
Can you edit a SharePoint list?

Can you change the name of SharePoint manager?
The static name is not the same as the internal name. The static name can be changed, the internal name cannot. The internal name will remain the same, even if you change the static name. Also, SharePoint Manager is just a tool that uses the same APIs that are available to you. There’s no magic going on.
How to change the title of a list?
If you need to change the title of any list then just follow the below steps: Click on List/Library Setting. Click on List name, description and navigation. Enter your new Title in Name input field. Click on Save button.
