SharePoint is always there, helping manage and protect your files, and powering content collaboration across Microsoft 365. With both OneDrive and SharePoint in Microsoft 365, your files are stored in the cloud. You can sync either OneDrive or SharePoint files to your computer.

How does OneDrive sync with SharePoint document library?
The feature I am talking about is OneDrive Sync. The idea is that you sync the whole SharePoint Document library to your computer, make changes on your desktop and all the changes automatically sync back to SharePoint when you have Internet Connection.
For example, you can add a link to a file or folder located in a different document library, site, or even an external website. When you add a link in a document library, the link shows up in the list of items in that library. This feature isn’t available in classic SharePoint experience or SharePoint 2016 server or earlier.
Here is what you got to do: Click on a little blue cloud icon in your computer’s taskbar (that’s how you access OneDrive for Business on your computer) On the next screen, you will see a list of all the places you synchronize. Most likely you will see your own OneDrive being synchronized, plus any SharePoint document libraries you pressed sync on.
What happens if I delete a file from OneDrive for work?
If you delete a file from OneDrive for work or school online, and then sync again, that file will be deleted from your local computer. You can stop syncing a library, but not individual files or folders under that library.
