Create a SharePoint team site to provide a location where you and your team can work on projects and share information from anywhere on any device. A team site includes a group of related web pages, a default document library for files, lists for data management, and web parts that you can customize to meet your needs.
Every Teams channel has a SharePoint team site, and every SharePoint team site has a Teams channel. Collaborate on files in Teams, create pages, use a shared notebook, and use the integrated Office 365 group to bring together conversations, calendars, and tasks.
Are SharePoint and Teams connected?
Microsoft Teams integration with SharePoint can come in the form of a Teams app or channel tab. The app option includes “SharePoint” for connecting to pages and lists and “SharePoint News” for pushing news from your sites to your team.
Creating too many teams causes confusion about where to collaborate on what. However, you can create a new SharePoint team site for each project you have. Microsoft Teams is the main space for the whole group to collaborate, whereas SharePoint team sites are designed to be little areas to focus on specific topics.
Here is how to create SharePoint Online group: Navigate to your SharePoint online site, Click on Site Settings gear icon and then select Site Settings >> From the Site settings page, click Site Permissions in the Users And Permissions section. From the Permissions page, click on Create Group icon from the ribbon, under Permissions tab.
