However, for Document Libraries that existed during the upgrade from 2007 to 2010, that Explorer View will still be available in the View list box, as well as the Open with Explorer button. Newly created Document Libraries will only have the Open with Explorer button and not Explorer View in the View list box.
How to open SharePoint Server in Internet Explorer?
In SharePoint in Microsoft 365 (while using Internet Explorer), select the View menu and then select View in File Explorer. In SharePoint Server 2019, SharePoint Server 2016, SharePoint Server 2013, or SharePoint Server 2010 (while using Internet Explorer), select the Library tab, and then select Open with Explorer.
Internet Explorer 11 is supported for SharePoint 2010, but you must add the SharePoint sites to Compatibility View to make some features work. Which is the best browser for open with explorer?
Open with Explorer works only in Internet Explorer 10 or 11. On Windows 10, Edge is the default browser, but Internet Explorer 11 is also installed. Open with Explorer doesn’t work with Edge, Chrome, or Firefox. You can use Internet Explorer to do your file transfers, and then go back to using your preferred browser (if not IE).
We’re having a problem opening this location in File Explorer. To open with File Explorer, you’ll need to add this site to your Trusted Sites list and select the “Keep me signed in” check box when you sign in to the SharePoint Online site. Repeat this step for any additional sites that you want to add to this zone. To make sure that “Open with Explorer” works correctly, you must include the SharePoint site URL or the OneDrive for Business URL in addition to the “-files” (for a site) URL or the “-myfiles” (for a OneDrive for Business library) URL.
