Menu
- Click on web part menus.
- Click on Export to export the webpart.
- Go to Site Actions => Site Settings => Modify All Site Settings (Where you want to upload this web part)
- Under Gallery headings click on Web Parts.
- You will see a list of available webparts here.
- Give webpart name and description how you want to see it.

Inside the pages list i am trying to make a copy of my home.aspx page. example: I want to make a copy of “home” and name it “home 2”. I have tried downloading the file, renaming, and then update document to pages. This does not work.
Do you think it is because SP2013 does not communicate directly to the copied pages under manual folders and is this an out of box SP feature and should it be counted as a defect! From your description, after copying the page to a manually created folder, editing the properties of the page does not take any affect.
