Click Style Library. Click XSL Styles Sheets to display the list of XSL files available in the Style Library for all three Web Part types. To see an example, open ItemStyle.xsl to modify it. ItemStyle.xsl controls the display of items in Summary Link Web Part items and in CQWP items.
I have some pages being created in SharePoint 2010 (we are migrating to 2016 next year, so skipping 2013 completely). I can copy and paste bullet lists into the page, or create my own, but they all seem to double space.

How to change itemstyle in XSLT in SharePoint?
Save the file, upload the updated file to XSL Style Sheets folder in Style Library folder. Publish a Major Version to see the changes in the itemstyle.
