A couple of days ago I come across a SharePoint feature that is very useful to check who view the file that is a SharePoint document library….How to know who view files/pages on SharePoint
- Go to Site Settings.
- Select Managed Site Features.
- Search for SharePoint Viewers.
- Click to activate that feature.

Lists data is stored in the associated SharePoint team site.
View version history in SharePoint Server 2016, 2013, or 2010 Navigate to the list or library that contains the item or file you want to explore. Hover over the item or file for which you want to view the history, click the arrow that appears, and select Version History from the drop-down list.

How can I see who has viewed my SharePoint Files?
By enabling one feature in SharePoint Online, we can have a bit more insights on who had seen files. Assuming you have the correct permissions (Site Owner), you can navigate to Site Settings >> Manage Site Features (under Site Actions), and enable the SharePoint Viewers feature.
